Live the myth at Aphrodite’s Rock
Cyprus is named as the island of love, and this is not random at all. As the myth says, Petra Tou Romiou (Aphrodite’s Rock) is the birthplace of Goddess Aphrodite, where she rose from the sea thousands of years ago.
Located midway Limassol and Paphos, the site can be seen from miles away when you are still driving on the motorway.
Before you arrive, we suggest parking your car at one of the view points, as it is definitely worth to take some time and admire the breathtaking landscape while capturing it on your camera.
While approaching the site, you will start to realize how big and magnificent this rock is, which previously looked tiny from the motorway.
Once you arrive, explore the area around, take some beautiful pictures and if you fancy a swim choose to do it on the left side of the rock as the waters are calmer than the right side which is usually wavy.
Millions of pebbles spread on the shore. Could it get more beautiful than this?
